| الفارماكولوجي | pharmacology palbociclib is a reversible small molecule cyclin-dependent kinase (cdk) inhibitor which is selective for cdk 4 and 6. cdks have a role in regulating progression through the cell cycle at the g1/s phase. Mechanism of Action Palbociclib is an oral, selective cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 4 and 6 inhibitor. It blocks CDK4/6-mediated phosphorylation of the retinoblastoma (Rb) protein, preventing progression from the G1 to S phase of the cell cycle. This results in cell-cycle arrest and inhibition of proliferation in Rb-positive cancer cells, particularly hormone receptor–positive breast cancer. |
